Keith Point Rummy

Privacy Policy

Effective And Last Updated: October 21, 2026

At A Glance

The current game stores your profile and progress on your device. It does not upload your optional email or achievement records to us. Visiting this website is different: our hosting and security providers process web traffic. Website forms are previews only.

1. Who We Are And What This Covers

Third Oak Productions, LLC develops and operates Keith Point Rummy and keithpointrummy.com. This policy describes the current offline app and this website. The app is in development; it supports one human player against computer opponents and a manual in-person scorecard. It has no player accounts, login, online multiplayer, advertising SDK, or custom gameplay analytics service.

For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected]. The website’s preview contact form cannot receive messages.

2. Information Stored On Your Device

The app uses a local SQLite database to keep:

  • Your first name: to personalize your experience and identify you in the game.
  • Your optional email and achievement-sharing choice: to remember the contact details and permission you choose in Player Profile. These currently stay on your device.
  • Game settings and saved games: to remember your preferences and resume play.
  • In-person scorecard names and scores: to keep track of the players and results you enter. You can use first names or nicknames rather than full names.
  • Tutorial progress: to remember where you are in learning the game.
  • Earned achievement records: to preserve special achievements, including the recorded time, round, and game evidence used to verify them locally.

The current app does not send these records to our website or server. The local database is not configured with application-level database encryption. Device security and operating-system storage protections still matter.

3. Optional Email And Sharing Permission

You can play without providing an email. In Settings > Player Profile, the separate sharing switch is off by default. Entering an email alone does not enable it. The switch says:

“Allow my name and email to be shared with Third Oak Productions, LLC when I unlock a special achievement.”

Use Save Email And Permission to save your choice. To withdraw that permission, turn the switch off and save. To remove your email from the profile, clear the email field and save.

This choice is only for special-achievement contact, not marketing or usage analytics. There is currently no receiving endpoint or network reporting, even if you turn the switch on. Before activating achievement reporting, we will update the disclosures to explain what is sent, why, and how it is retained. This stored choice does not authorize unrelated use of your information.

4. Google Play And Device Services

We plan to use aggregate Google Play Console reports and Android vitals to understand app distribution and technical reliability, rather than custom gameplay tracking. Google may process store, device, diagnostic, and usage information through its own platform services, under its terms and your settings. That processing is separate from information sent by our app to our VPS. We have not added Google Analytics or Firebase Analytics to this app.

Read Google’s Privacy Policy for its practices. Your operating system may also back up or restore app data according to your device and backup settings.

Gameplay does not require camera, microphone, precise location, or contacts access. The app plays bundled sounds and can provide haptic feedback; its current audio configuration disables microphone recording. This is not a claim that the operating system or development tools never use network access.

5. The Support Website And Forms

The app’s Support button opens keithpointrummy.com/support in your default browser. Opening the website creates ordinary web requests, separate from offline gameplay.

The Buy Me A Coffee and contact forms are currently browser-only previews. The amount, comment, name, email, category, device details, app version, and message entered into those previews are not submitted to us or stored by our website code. No payment is processed and no card details are requested. Your browser may independently remember form fields or restore a page according to its settings.

We will update this policy before activating payment processing, contact delivery, or other new collection. Please do not enter passwords, payment details, or sensitive information into the preview forms.

6. Website Logs, Cookies, And Network Reports

The website uses Hosting.com infrastructure and Cloudflare for traffic delivery and protection. These services process connection information, including IP addresses, to deliver and secure requests. Our web server’s access logs record the connecting address, request date and time, requested URL (which can include query parameters), response status, response size, referring page when supplied, and browser user-agent. Depending on proxy handling, the logged connecting address may be a Cloudflare address rather than your device’s address. Error and security logs may also contain request or connection details.

This technical information supports operation, troubleshooting, and abuse detection. It is not a stream of your offline game actions. Do not put sensitive information in website URLs.

Cloudflare also sends Network Error Logging instructions to compatible browsers. A browser may report website connection failures and related technical details to Cloudflare. See Cloudflare’s Network Error Logging explanation and Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.

Cloudflare also injects a website-performance measurement script into the live site. It sends page-load timings and related page, referrer, and technical performance information to Cloudflare to measure website reliability and usage. This is website measurement, not a custom app gameplay analytics service. See Cloudflare’s performance-beacon documentation. Cloudflare also supplies an email-address decoding script to display protected contact links.

Our current website code does not set cookies, use local storage, embed advertising, or load custom analytics scripts, external fonts, or social-media trackers. Cloudflare may use necessary security cookies when its protection features are triggered. See Cloudflare’s cookie information. Browser cookie controls are available, but blocking security cookies can affect access.

7. Service Providers And Security

Hosting.com and Cloudflare process website traffic as needed to provide hosting, delivery, and security. If you email our privacy contact, Google’s Gmail service processes that correspondence, including your address, message, and any attachments, so we can receive and respond to it. Store and device providers may separately process information as described above.

We do not sell personal information from this app or website, and no marketing use of local profile or achievement information is implemented. We do not upload your local game database to these website providers.

The website uses HTTPS, restricted server access, and a dedicated service account. These measures reduce risk but do not guarantee absolute security. Please secure your device and avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information by email.

8. Retention, Deletion, And Your Choices

Local app data: information remains on your device until you change or replace it, clear the app’s storage, or remove the app. On Android, use the device’s Settings > Apps > Keith Point Rummy > Storage > Clear Storage (wording varies). This removes the app’s local profile, saved games, scores, progress, and achievements. Clearing only the cache is not the same as clearing storage. Uninstalling usually removes local app data, but operating-system backups or later restoration may preserve or restore copies. Manage those through your device or backup provider. There is no player account to delete and no in-app Delete All Data button in this version.

Website logs: the site’s access and error logs are configured for daily rotation, retaining up to 14 rotated files plus the current file. Empty logs may not rotate, so this is not a guaranteed 14-day deletion deadline. This setting does not determine retention of separate infrastructure security records, provider-held records, or backup copies. Those can follow different provider policies and operational requirements.

Privacy correspondence: if you contact us, we use the information you provide to address your question or request. Retention depends on handling the request, follow-up, and any applicable recordkeeping requirements; we have not set a fixed automatic deletion period for correspondence.

You may ask us about access, correction, or deletion of information we hold by emailing the privacy contact. Explain your request without sending passwords or unnecessary sensitive documents. We may need enough information to verify and locate relevant records. We cannot remotely access or erase the local game data on your device. Your available rights can depend on where you live.

9. Children’s Privacy

The local storage and optional-contact behavior described here applies to the current app. It does not require an email address to play, and no achievement contact details are currently transmitted to us. Parents or guardians can use the device’s controls to manage or remove local app data. If you believe personal information about a child has reached us through email or website use, contact us so we can review the situation.

10. Changes To This Policy

We will update this page and its date when data practices change. New data collection or sharing, including achievement reporting or live support forms, will require updated disclosures and any permissions required for that change.
